Circular Economy | Textile Waste

Supporting the Circular Economy
Slovakia is committed to supporting green innovations and fostering collaboration between Slovak and international universities, research institutions, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, and local authorities. This broad support will facilitate cooperation across ministries and the third sector. Key focus areas include waste prevention, creating conditions for the priority use of industrial residues and recycled materials to reduce reliance on natural resources, eco-design of products, and the development of new technologies to process certain types of waste. Efforts will continue to build and strengthen clusters.
Environmental Education and Lifelong Learning
In partnership with central government bodies, professional organizations, the academic community, NGOs, and local governments, we aim to enhance both formal and informal environmental education. We will also focus on raising awareness and providing educational opportunities for sustainable development at every age. (Source: Envirostratégia 2030)
